Straw Hat Hostel & Rooftop Bar - Tulum

The hilarious thing about this place is that you don't need an alarm clock because the roof bar plays loud music till 2 am! But hey, the staff treat you like old good friends.

Who needs personal lights above the bed anyway? Oh, and the towels and locks, they're provided for an additional price.

We loved our stay at this hostel! The staff was friendly and helpful. The location was excellent, right in the center of town close to shops, restaurants, and transportation. The hostel facilities were clean and well-maintained. The breakfast provided was tasty and a great bonus.

The breakfast was so simple, I felt like I was eating air. The staff's language skills were impressive, they managed to understand my sarcastic complaints perfectly. It's a hostel, in case you forgot.

I just loved being serenaded by thumping music until the wee hours of the morning. Who needs sleep anyway?

Something missing.

I stayed at the Straw Hat Hostel for a week, and it was a great experience. The location is convenient, with plenty of bars, restaurants, and shops nearby. The staff members were friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about the area. The bathrooms and bedrooms were clean, and the beds were large and comfortable. I also appreciated the privacy curtains and the option to rent bicycles.

I recommend this hostel.

The staff speak so many languages, it's like the United Nations at the reception. And breakfast? Oh, it's a feast! You get to choose between toast AND juice or coffee. Decisions, decisions.

The best aspects of my experience at this hostel were the friendly staff and the outstanding location. The staff members I encountered were always helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable, making my stay more enjoyable. The location of the hostel was perfect, right on the main street in downtown Tulum, surrounded by bars, restaurants. Additionally, the hostel offered a free breakfast, which was not a buffet but was very tasty. It was a great way to start the day before exploring the area.

The worst aspect of my stay was the noise from the rooftop bar and the nearby clubs. The music was incredibly loud, and people were screaming and jumping until late at night.

Cool rooftop, electro party, space in the dorms, clean shared bathroom, friendly and knowledgeable staff.

Felt snug, noisy if you go to bed early or are a light sleeper.
